Updated over a week ago

The tutorial explains how to whitelist IP addresses or Subnets step-by-step.

The following steps will guide you through how you can whitelist IP addresses or subnets.

Step 1: Navigate to the Access Control Page

In the first step, we must navigate the Access Control page under the Settings page within the service dashboard. You can visit the page by following the below path:

  • Dashboard

    • Service

      • Settings

        • Access control

The following screenshots will help you better understand.

First, You need to open the project's dashboard from the main dashboard:

To reach the Security page, expand the settings menu by clicking on the dropdown menu, as shown below:

To navigate to the Access Control page, please click on the Access Control routing link, as the screenshot below:

Finally, you have reached the Access Control page. In the screenshot below, you can see the inner page for the Access Control page.

Step 2: Whitelist an IP address or a Subnet.

The Access Control options are determined by the service plan. On the Standard plan, you can whitelist single IP addresses or Subnets up to /22. On the Enterprise plan, you can whitelist any subnet, and in addition, you can have advanced Access Control options that include country codes, autonomous system numbers (ASN), cookies, and many more.

For the purpose of this tutorial, we will demonstrate the service of the Standard plan.

First, we need to click the Add New IP action button in the right corner of the IP White List section, as shown in the screenshot below.

Once we click on the Add New IP action button, a modal window will open. You need to add the IP address or the Subnet in the field and click the Add action button, as shown in the screenshot below.

Once you have added the IP, you can see it within the IP White List section, as shown in the screenshot below.

If you want to delete the IP, you can easily do that by clicking on the trash action, as shown in the screenshot below.
