How to add a service?

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a service.

Create a service by performing the following steps:

  1. Define basic properties.

  2. Select the preferred plan.

  3. Create the Service.

You can follow this tutorial if you want to switch your DNS provider.

Step 1: Define basic properties

In the first step, there are three starting criteria that you need to configure when you start the process of creating a new service:

  1. URL

  2. Name

  3. Application Type

The first field, which is the URL that needs the domain address of the actual website, is delivered, for example, mywebsite.com OR www.mywebsite.com. Please note that you can add secondary subdomains after you create your Service from the settings page.

The second field, the Name, is a friendly name of the Service. It can be as you prefer for your personalized experience, for example, My First Service or My First Project.

In the third field, the Application Type, you can determine the application you want to add as a service. It helps with extended automation and predefined profiles for edge rules that enable better user experience on caching pages concerning the cookies and the user's state to cache or bypass the caching for dynamic requests such as login, shopping carts, etc. If you don't find your application type in the available list, you can select Other; otherwise, you can choose, for example, WordPress.

Once you have appropriately configured the above, you can proceed to the next step.

At this stage, you may receive a notification that your application is behind a proxy service, for example, Cloudflare. In that case, you will need to manually configure the IPv4 of your Origin Server by enabling the "Manual Settings" checkbox.

Step 2: Select the preferred plan

In the second step, you must select the plan you want to start for your Service. There are three options. The two are currently available. For the first option, you need to contact our support team. The current plans are:

  1. Basic

  2. Business

  3. Enterprise - Contact support only.

The difference between the Basic and the Business is Web security. The basic plan includes web security but only in audit mode, which means you can see the events and threats that reach your application but will not be blocked. The Business plan will block all the threats by default; however, you can choose the security strategy from the Service settings page.

Once you select your plan, you can proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Create the Service

In the third step, you will be able to monitor the progress of the service creation and its dependencies. Once it is complete, you can close the window. Please note that the propagation to the edge may take up to 60 minutes.

After you create your service, you may proceed with the next steps and proceed with the SSL Certificate validation to enable your HTTP(s) traffic.
